We’re more inclined to go on long walks (especially during these times), go for bike rides, hike, and other activities where we often use our feet. Some of the other factors that can serve as a catalyst for foot pain during the summer include:

What Causes Your Feet to Hurt More?
Summer presents a wonderful opportunity to get out and do a lot of the things that you were not able to do in the wintertime (while maintaining social distancing of course). Pretty much everywhere you look, there will be people out and about. People are exercising by walking, running, and other activities. However, a primary drawback of exercising is that they are putting an excessive amount of stress on their heels. By doing this, they could be starting to develop foot-related conditions such as plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis occurs when the tendons in your heals may have started to become weak and stressed. Since the weather is nice out, that means more people are leaving their shoes at home and wearing footwear that is not supportive like flip flops. Flip flops have very little support, which often stimulates foot pain in a lot of patients.
How to Treat Foot Pain
Sometimes it can be very difficult to find relief when you have foot pain. If it starts to feel like the only thing you can do is to get off your feet and not move to subside the discomfort, you need to find professional help. As nice as that does sound sometimes, that should have to be your treatment. There are several different ways that you can help treat your foot pain when you are experiencing some discomfort. Some of those methods can include a few of the following:

- Massage your feet.
- Perform foot and heel muscle stretching.
- Physical therapy if the pain is bad.
- Wear shoes with good arch support.
