What is KeryFlex Nail Restoration?

Have your nails become weaker and weaker as time went on? Do they seem to chip or fall off often? Are they growing in shorter than usual? Are your nails affected by fungus, nail dystrophies and trauma? If so, you should look into KeryFlex treatments. KeryFlex is a safe nail reconstruction treatment that is nonsystemic and is completed in the office of a podiatrist in Levittown. This treatment restores the appearance of your natural nails by eliminating any damage you may have to your nails. This procedure provides a patented resin and creates a flexible, non-porous nail that allows the remaining of your natural nails to grow in completely. This treatment will allow a natural-looking nail during antifungal therapies. KeryFlex will also provide a cosmetic improvement to compliment laser fungal programs. These therapies create nails that are durable by acetone, nail polishes, and detergents that allow the KeryFlex to recreate the patient’s nail appearance. Your podiatrist will remove the damaged nail using special nail clippers, file or dremel. After the damaged nail is removed, the process will begin. Your podiatrist will apply a bonding agent and attach the new nail to the remainder of your natural nail. Finally, your podiatrist will remodel KeryFlex Resin to your nail bed, cure the resin with a special type of ultraviolet light for two minutes.  Your nail will then be reshaped if necessary. The process is completed in about 15 minutes.

Cherrywood Foot Care Burning Feet

Treatment for burning feet might be as simple as recommending a change in your footwear. If the condition is more serious, doctors might prescribe medication to address the underlying cause of these symptoms. Prescription ointments or creams might be a necessary treatment as well. It is very important for patients to increase the care and attention they give to their feet due to the increased risks associated with neuropathy. Simple problems can develop into more serious issues in the presence of neuropathy, so routine visits to your podiatrist are extremely important. Ignoring the symptoms of burning feet can have serious consequences. Because this sensation is often due to a serious medical condition, failure to address it could lead to permanent nerve damage, a loss of limb, or brain damage (if the burning sensation is caused by a stroke).

Cryotherapy Benefits for Footcare

When someone gets injured, we typically tend to think of using ice and applying it to the area in pain for different intervals of time. This concept of using low temperatures to treat an injury is taken to extreme levels with the implementation of cryotherapy. Cryotherapy, at its core, uses the same concept of using the cold to promote healing but utilizes temperatures as low as three hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Most would think that’s insane, especially during the wintertime. As crazy as it may sound, however, cryotherapy has been known to be an effective method in treating a number of conditions. At the office of Cherrywood Foot Care, a podiatrist in Levittown, we use cryotherapy to aid in the treatment and the removal of warts. Cryotherapy is an effective and widely used method in treating the removal of warts on the feet. By using a freezing substance like liquid nitrogen, we are able to specifically target, freeze and kill the tissue that is causing the wart. This method is performed quickly by using a cryo-gun that sprays the liquid nitrogen directly onto the affected area. The process can cause some pain during the procedure and an anesthetic is sometimes used depending on the patient. Studies have shown that cryotherapy is an effective treatment method, two-thirds of the time it completely and successfully kills the wart that is causing the problem on the foot. Once the procedure is over, you should be able to return to your normal daily activities.
